Julien was close. How close? Ernest was beginning to slide down his fucking throat, that's how close it was, and the closer it got, the more it fucked up Ernest's head.
It took that long for Julien to realize "wait, i doNT think this is what I want" and he barely made it before sticking his fingers in his throat would have to be a solution

idk man... that whole thing is gonna stick with them for the rest of the story, hell, for the rest of their lives...

and since I was already talking about Ewald's relationship with Julien, and Ernest's relationship with his father as of late and ive been wanting to talk more about these idiots sdfghj
They both dudes with daddy issues but clearly someone is better at hiding it than the other
and strangely, it's Julien
Ernest srsly let it get to him, and that's sort of how the others (Irene esp) came to realize it without him saying it outright. He's got the aloofness down, the fear of closeness and commitment, the anger, toxic masculinity, all of it
And then there's Julien who's all smiley and openly craves closeness and intimacy, a hella feminine type communicator 
It's mostly because Ernest didn't have a role model/healthy father figure in his life, before and after his own dad's passing. And Julien, well, he sort of explained in the 17th chapter, ewald doesnt want him, alan doesnt want to be any closer, and ernest is all he has. That's how desperate he was for a sort of Father in his life, he made it work as much as it could for his fucked up little mind. like "ernest cant ever leave or disown me like ewald says he would!!!" yeah because youre literally holding him hostage....

okAY so instead of posting this stuff, i spent the last few hours watching Whose Line Is It Anyway and wheezing in laughter... sigh.. i miss my drama class/club
and now it's late and it's 100% my fault sobs
